Associate

Alka is a tax lawyer specializing in (international) VAT. She joined Hamelink & Van den Tooren in June 2024.

Previously, she was a tax advisor and VAT compliance officer. Alka advises international corporations on various aspects of Dutch and European VAT law, including VAT due diligence, real estate VAT and transfer tax, goods supplies, fiscal unity and permanent establishment.

Prior to her tax law career, Alka obtained her MBA from the London Business School and worked as a management consultant, including at Accenture where she provided strategic advice to multinationals and fund managers. Alka graduated in tax law from Leiden University in 2017 and obtained a postmaster's degree in indirect taxes from Erasmus University in 2023. Alka is a member of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors (NOB).
