Maarten Edie

Maarten Edie started his career in 2005 at PwC in the international VAT practice. He worked more than two years in New York. Furthermore, Maarten worked for Deloitte where he was involved in the implementation of the VAT system in the Middle East (assisting the Tax Authorities and the Ministry). In July 2018, Maarten joined Hamelink & Van den Tooren as a partner.

Maarten advises corporate clients from various industries about the VAT aspects of their activities. Furthermore, he advises on the VAT consequences of M&A transactions and cross-border restructurings. He also assists clients with optimizing their VAT position.

Maarten graduated in Fiscal Economics from Maastricht University and followed a Top Master Indirect Taxes at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He is also a member of the Netherlands Association of Tax Advisers (NOB).
